Florida has a large uninsured population and significant Medicaid restrictions. How does this shape the kind of physician you want to become?

Florida’s Medicaid expansion status, uninsured rates, community health centres (FQHCs), safety-net hospital system. Show awareness and patient advocacy orientation.

The Orange Park campus is the newest LMU-DCOM campus. What advantages or challenges do you see in joining a newer programme?

Smaller class, growing infrastructure, direct access to leadership, being part of something being built. Show enthusiasm for the opportunity.

You're a student-doctor at an Orange Park clinic. An uninsured construction worker recently arrived from out of state presents with an injury but is terrified that getting care will cost him his next paycheck or expose his immigration status. Talk with him.

Reassure about access regardless of status, explain charity care and FQHC options, treat the injury, and build trust. Show the ethical duty to care for all patients and practical navigation of cost and fear.

Northeast Florida combines a growing suburban Jacksonville metro with underserved rural counties to the west and south. How would that mixed geography shape the patient panel an Orange Park graduate might serve?

Suburban chronic disease and access growth alongside rural shortage, uninsured workers, and maternal and mental health gaps. Reason from the regional mix to the breadth of training and practice.

Orange Park's systems are still maturing as a 2020 campus. Tell us about a time you balanced a demanding workload while structures around you were still being built, and what kept you organised.

A Spanish-speaking patient brings her bilingual 12-year-old to interpret for a sensitive gynaecological visit. How do you handle the situation?

You witness a fellow student fabricating part of a patient encounter note during a rotation. You've heard the school is still tightening its policies. What do you do?

If an FQHC near Jacksonville found that newly arrived immigrant patients had much lower vaccination completion, what would you want to learn before designing an outreach plan?

Access, trust, language, work schedules, prior records, and fear of authorities. Avoid blaming patients; treat the gap as a structural and trust problem worth measuring before acting.
