The short answer
Universities publish their own open-day dates, so the reliable way to find medical school open days is each school's official page. The table below links the open-days page for all 51 UK medical schools we cover; 46 were loaded and checked on 19 September 2026, and the other 5 are marked.
For 2027 entry, the UCAS medicine deadline is 15 October at 18:00 UK time, so visits for this cycle need to happen before you submit. This page lists no dates itself — universities change them.
Directory
Where can I find each medical school's open days?
Most links go to the university-wide undergraduate open-days page, where medicine sessions are listed; Cardiff, Hull York, Kent and Medway, Queen Mary, Warwick, Pears Cumbria and Greater Manchester have medical-school pages of their own.

Shortlisting where to visit? Where to Apply matches your UCAT to schools, and every school has its own medical school guide.
Planning
What should I use an open day for?
UCAS describes open days as "the chance to ask questions and see what's available", and suggests a virtual open day if you cannot visit. In Clearing it also recommends looking around the campus before committing, if you have time. For medicine, the questions worth taking are the ones school pages answer differently — for example:
- How the school uses UCAT (threshold, ranking or weighting) — see what is a good UCAT score.
- Whether it reads the personal statement, and when.
- Its interview format and its policy on reapplicants, resits, transfers and Access courses.
FAQ
Medical school open days — FAQs
Each university sets and publishes its own dates, usually for the whole university with medicine sessions included, and some medical schools run their own events. Use the official page for each school in the table on this page — we do not repeat dates here because universities change them.
