Pocket UCAT · The UCAT Skills Trainer

Top UCAT scores are trained, not crammed.

The UCAT doesn’t reward how much you know — it rewards how fast and accurately you think under pressure. We built a skills trainer that turns those abilities into a daily habit, so on test day the right move is muscle memory, not a guess.

Why a skills trainer

The UCAT is a test of micro-skills.

Every mark on the UCAT comes down to a handful of tiny, repeatable abilities: scanning a passage for the single word that decides the answer, spotting the logical flaw in a syllogism, estimating a ratio without reaching for the calculator, reading a situation the way an examiner would. None of these are facts you can memorise — they’re skills, and skills behave differently from knowledge.

Like a serve, a scale or a sprint, they’re built by short, frequent, deliberate reps until they become automatic — and they fade just as fast if you stop. That’s why a week-before cramming binge so rarely moves the needle, and why a few focused minutes a day, repeated, quietly compounds into a score. A skills trainer does exactly that: it turns the abilities the UCAT measures into a daily habit, so the right move is there when the timer is running.

VRVerbal Reasoning

Scan a passage for the one word that decides True / False / Can’t Tell.

DMDecision Making

Spot the flaw in a syllogism — or read a Venn diagram — before the timer blinks.

QRQuantitative Reasoning

Estimate ratios, rates and percentages without reaching for the calculator.

SJTSituational Judgement

Read a situation — and rate the response — the way an examiner scores it.

So I built you an app

Five minutes of practice, anywhere your day takes you.

That’s why I built Pocket UCAT — a skills trainer that lives in your pocket, designed for the dead time you already have. Practise on the bus, on the train, on the walk to school, in the queue, on the sofa. Online or offline, it just works — no signal, no problem.

No three-hour mock to psych yourself up for; just quick, addictive reps that quietly compound. That’s the whole gig: turn the minutes you’d otherwise lose into the micro-skills that win you marks.
