Hull York Medical School (HYMS) uses Multiple Mini Interviews with 5-6 stations of variable length — each station can be 5, 10, or 20 minutes. The format is distinctive among UK medical schools because of its mix of station types: a group exercise with up to 10 candidates, 2 standard mini-interviews, a 'student station' (run by current HYMS medical students), and an individual scenario station based on a video you'll be shown.
For 2026 entry, Home (UK) and EU interviews are in person at either Hull or York in January 2026. Overseas fee-status interviews are online, held in December — check your email invite for the exact date and time.

Should the NHS invest more in deprived areas to address health inequality?
Justice argues yes. Engage with practical implementation challenges (workforce, infrastructure). HYMS's regional mission makes this particularly relevant.
