About NSU-COM (DO)

Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM), founded in 1981, is one of the largest and most established private osteopathic medical schools in the United States. NSU-COM sits on NSU's Fort Lauderdale (Davie) campus in South Florida. It benefits from NSU's comprehensive health sciences infrastructure: schools of pharmacy, dental medicine, nursing, optometry, and public health.

The school trains physicians for South Florida's exceptionally diverse patient population.

NSU-COM's South Florida location provides clinical training in one of the most diverse patient populations in the US — a Caribbean diaspora, Latin American, Haitian, South Asian, and elderly (Medicare) population. NSU's multi-college health sciences campus offers genuine interprofessional clinical education alongside pharmacy, dental, nursing, and optometry students.

NSU-COM also operates the Tampa Bay Regional Campus in Clearwater, Florida (opened 2019), extending its osteopathic training across the state.

Integrated curriculum. 4-year DO curriculum with OMM integrated throughout. NSU-COM offers a contemporary integrated curriculum with early clinical exposure and significant interprofessional health education given NSU's multi-college health sciences campus. Years 1–2 at Fort Lauderdale; Years 3–4 clinical rotations at NSU-COM-affiliated hospitals and community sites across South Florida and the broader national NSU network.

Nova Southeastern University COM (NSU-COM) conducts traditional faculty interviews at its Fort Lauderdale (Davie) campus.
