How to use these guides
Every US medical and dental school runs its interview its own way. Some use an MMI. Some use a panel. Some still sit you down with one faculty member for 45 minutes. Preparing for the wrong format wastes weeks.
So each guide starts with the format that school actually uses. Then it lists the questions that come up most, the answers that score well, and the mistakes that cost people offers. Current students at that school write and check every guide.
Find your school below, or search for it at the top of the page. Read the guide once early, so you know what you are training for. Read it again the week before, when the detail matters.
When to start
Most invitations arrive between October and February. Give yourself four to six weeks of practice before your first one. That is enough time to work through the common questions out loud and to sit at least one mock.
Reading is not practice. You need to hear yourself answer. Say your answers aloud, record them, and play them back. It is uncomfortable, and it is the fastest way to improve.
