About UNCO COM (DO)

The University of Northern Colorado College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNCO COM), with its inaugural class beginning Fall 2026, is Colorado's developing public osteopathic medical school (currently in COCA pre-accreditation), located in Greeley on the northeastern Colorado Front Range. Housed within a public research university known for health sciences and education, UNCO COM trains DO physicians with a rural medicine focus and a commitment to serving Colorado's underserved agricultural and mountain communities. It is the most affordable osteopathic option in Colorado.

What makes it different

AACOMAS application. Only public osteopathic medical school in Colorado — public tuition rates apply for Colorado residents. Greeley's agricultural Front Range setting provides unique exposure to occupational and rural health. UNCO's established health sciences faculty and facilities support the new COM program.

Course & teaching

Integrated curriculum. 4-year DO curriculum with OMM integrated throughout. Pre-clinical years in Greeley; clinical rotations across Colorado rural hospitals, Front Range community health centers, and affiliated clinical sites. Emphasis on agricultural and occupational health reflecting the regional economy.
