Integrated curriculum. 4-year MD program currently being developed and implemented with the inaugural class. An integrated curriculum combining basic sciences with early clinical exposure is planned, with primary clinical training at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville and affiliated community sites. Military and veteran health training is embedded given the school's Fort Liberty proximity. The program received LCME Candidate status in October 2024 and Preliminary Accreditation in October 2025 — the milestone allowing it to recruit its first (summer 2026) cohort.
