The UCL medicine course at a glance
Six years, with an integrated BSc in year 3 that every student takes — and UCL offers one of the widest ranges of iBSc subjects in the country. The clinical years are built from 12-week placement blocks, and year 6 ends with an eight-week elective anywhere in the world.
How UCL teaches medicine
Years 1 and 2 pair three compulsory science modules with weekly Clinical and Professional Practice and Patient Journeys sessions, so clinical contact runs alongside the science rather than after it.
