Course & teaching

Integrated curriculum. 4-year MD. Years 1–2: integrated organ-system curriculum combining basic science, pathophysiology, and early clinical skills. A longitudinal integrated clerkship option is available. Years 3–4: core clinical clerkships at UNC Hospitals, affiliated NC community hospitals, and rural/community sites through the AHEC network. A scholarly concentration program allows students to pursue depth in a chosen academic area.
