Explore interview guidesSee the selection rank each school really needs
Undergraduate medicine and dentistry in Australia rank school-leavers on their ATAR selection rank. We pull the lowest selection rank admitted at each school straight from our dataset — so you can build a shortlist that balances ambition with realism, and see where adjustment schemes can lower the bar.
- Live cut-offs for medicine and dentistry, school by school
- Selection rank, not raw ATAR — the figure schools actually publish
- Cross-checked against the same data behind every school page

Interview guides for every format
Most Australian schools interview by MMI, a handful by panel, and some pair the process with CASPer. Find out which format yours uses, what it really tests and how to prepare for it.
Multiple Mini Interviews
A timed circuit of short stations — ethics, role-play, motivation and scenario stations under the clock. The format most Australian medical and dental schools use.
Read the guidePanel & semi-structured
A structured conversation with a small panel — used by JCU, Notre Dame and others, often built around rural commitment, values and motivation. Learn the rhythm and how to structure an answer.
Read the guideCASPer situational judgement
An online situational-judgement test that a handful of schools (Monash, Curtin) pair with the interview to assess personal and professional attributes.

Choosing your route in
Australia has more than one way into medicine and dentistry — and the funding and service obligations differ too. Start here.
Graduate vs undergraduate entry
Around 60% of Australian medicine places now go via the graduate pathway. See how the 4-year graduate MD (GAMSAT + GPA, through GEMSAS) compares with school-leaver undergraduate entry (UCAT-ANZ + ATAR).
CSP, BMP & full-fee places
Most domestic places are Commonwealth Supported (CSP) with a deferrable HECS-HELP contribution; around 28.5% are Bonded Medical Places (BMP) tied to rural service. Understand the funding and obligations before you rank a school.
