The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, founded in 1870, is Iowa's flagship public medical school and one of the most research-intensive public medical schools in the US. Course & teaching

Integrated curriculum. 4-year MD. Preclinical curriculum integrates basic and clinical science from Year 1 with early patient contact. Clinical training in Year 3–4 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC) and affiliated community and rural sites. MD-PhD program (MSTP) available for research-track students.
