2027 Entry Requirements & Interview Format
University of Sheffield School of Clinical Dentistry in Sheffield asks 2027-entry dentistry applicants for AAA at A-level (contextual offer AAB). It publishes no fixed UCAT cut-off; NextGen MedPrep's TrueScore model predicts 2050+ for an interview invitation (home tier, 2027 entry). Sheffield holds a panel interview. All applicants must be SJT band 1 or 2 for 2026 entry. Applicants clearing the academic and UCAT criteria are then ranked on UCAT score, so the effective bar sits well up the national distribution and moves each cycle - Sheffield does not publish a figure. Tighter SJT and UCAT requirements than at most other dental schools.

Format: On-campus selection day: semi-structured panel interview (up to 15 min) plus a separate group task
Selection days take place on campus only; there is no online option. The interview is semi-structured, lasts up to 15 minutes and is usually run by two members of academic staff and a senior dental student. It explores your career exploration, personal qualities and values, and commitment to Sheffield, with reference to your personal statement.
A separate group task assesses respect, teamwork and communication. Invitations are usually sent in January, Sheffield publishes the selection-day dates for each intake on its admissions page, and you can pick from a range of dates.
