    St Andrews

    Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)

UCAT: No threshold published. Applicants who meet the requirements are ranked on their UCAT global score, and roughly the top 650 are invited to interview.

St Andrews offers a 3-year BSc Honours in pre-clinical medicine before transferring students to a partner school for clinical training, with a famously casual interview.

Why it matters

Why St Andrews-aligned tutoring matters

St Andrews runs a panel interview with a heavy academic emphasis - scientific aptitude, motivation, reflection. The format is more conversational than a typical MMI but probes academic depth uniquely. Generic interview prep often optimises for MMIs and misses the academic conversation rhythm St Andrews rewards.

All sessions run online, so geographic location isn’t a barrier — but preparation built around the schools that matter to you is what moves your performance.

How online sessions work

Everything runs one-to-one over video. You book, we match you with a tutor (most students within 24–48 hours), and you agree times directly around school and revision. You need a stable connection and a device with a microphone and camera; nothing is installed. Sessions end at their scheduled time, and rescheduling with 24 hours’ notice or more is free and available once per booking — the full policy is in our terms.
