Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine — Great Falls (TouroCOM Montana), the newest campus of the Touro system, opened in 2023 (inaugural class July/August 2023) and is dedicated to training osteopathic physicians for rural and frontier communities across Montana and the Northwest. Located in Great Falls, the campus partners with regional hospitals and tribal health facilities. Its mission emphasizes primary care and rural-medicine placement, addressing Montana's profound physician shortage.

What makes it different

AACOMAS application. TouroCOM Montana is one of very few osteopathic medical schools in the Mountain West interior. Its focus on frontier medicine and tribal health distinguishes it nationally. Students gain clinical exposure in settings most DO graduates never encounter, including critical access hospitals and Indian Health Service facilities.

Course & teaching

Integrated curriculum. 4-year DO curriculum with OMM integrated throughout. Pre-clinical years in Great Falls; clinical rotations dispersed across Montana rural hospitals, critical access hospitals, and tribal health centers. Emphasis on frontier medicine competencies including telemedicine.
