Format: Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI)
MMI format with stations covering ethical scenarios, communication and clinical problem-solving. No offer is made without an interview, and King's runs them across an unusually long window - November to May - so a late invitation is normal rather than a bad sign.
Around 300 places on A100, within roughly 410 across all of King's medicine programmes.
Founded in 1829. Based in London.

What is TrueScore?
A data-driven estimate of the UCAT score you'll likely need to be invited to interview at King's College London (KCL) for 2027 entry entry — based on its published cut-offs and recent admissions data. Treat it as a target to aim past, not a guarantee.
King's College London (KCL)'s TrueScore is 2150. Build a week-by-week UCAT plan that works back from your test date — free for the first two weeks.
King's publishes only that it considers A-level grades, UCAT, personal statement and GCSE grades when shortlisting, with exam results and UCAT the most important factors. The detailed /150 points breakdown circulated by prep providers (UCAT /100, GCSE /40, SJT /10) is not published by King's and should not be treated as its official model.
Band 4 automatically rejected. Band 3 riskier - only 37/360 band 3 applicants received interview in 2024.
King's lists contextual requirements for A100 as "not specified" - there is no separate reduced contextual offer for the standard course, though achievement is read in the context of educational background. The POLAR/ACORN/IMD, care-experienced and K+ criteria often quoted against King's are the eligibility rules for the separate Extended Medical Degree Programme (A101), not for A100.
King's shortlists on A-level grades, UCAT, personal statement and GCSE grades together, and says exam results and UCAT are "perhaps the most important factors". Its published UCAT statistics stop at the 2024 cycle and sit on the retired /3600 four-subtest scale, so they cannot be restated on the current /2700 scale. On that retired /3600 scale, 2024 entry interviewees averaged 3,007 (UK) and 3,078 (non-UK). The widely circulated /150 points model is not published by King's.
A solid grasp of core NHS values, current healthcare issues and ethical dilemmas is essential - read around famous medical-legal cases. For "why King's", research the curriculum, anatomy teaching style and clinical exposure specifically. Interviews run from November to May, so keep your preparation warm well into the spring.
