Among the 32 UK medical schools whose record states a post-interview figure for home or all applicants, the share of interviewees who received an offer ranges from 26% at Cambridge to 94% at Hull York (HYMS), with a median of 58%. These are the latest published cycles (2023 to 2026), not a prediction for 2027 entry — and a high rate after interview says nothing about how hard the interview is to reach.

How to read this table

  • What the rate measures: offers made divided by applicants interviewed, as the school’s own figures (usually from its admissions statistics or a Freedom of Information response) state it. It is not the chance of an offer from applying, and it is not applicants per place.
  • Limits: schools report different years and groups (home, rest of UK, all applicants), some count deferred offers and some do not, and schools make more offers than they have places because not every offer is accepted. Compare rates within the same year and group where you can.
  • Ordering: highest home or all-applicant rate first. Rows the record gives no such figure for sit at the bottom, alphabetically, with their wording quoted.
  • Not published means the school’s record in our catalogue holds no figure or statement for that cell. We leave the gap visible rather than estimate it; check the school’s own admissions page.
  • Last checked reports what our verification ledger records for that school: the date its record was checked against the school’s own page, a partial check, or that no check has been completed. Policies change between cycles, so the school’s own page is always the final word.
