Griffith offers a single integrated dental pathway: a 3-year Bachelor of Dental Health Science (BDHS) followed by the 2-year Master of Dentistry — completed back-to-back as a 5-year sequence on the Gold Coast (Southport) campus. Direct undergraduate entry to a separate BDS does not currently exist at Griffith. Both BDHS entry and progression into the DMD are administered through the Griffith University Dental Admissions Process (GUDAP) delivered online via the SAMMI platform.
GUDAP via SAMMI is a recorded online interview: for 2027 admission you complete it at a time you choose between 23 and 27 November 2026, responding to camera to a scenario and its question(s). Griffith assesses communication skills, an empathetic and ethical approach, a reflective manner, problem-solving, teamwork and decision-making. Examiners are clinicians and academics from the Griffith School of Dentistry and Oral Health network.
Griffith interviews around 300 candidates, and selection uses a combined weighted score of UCAT ANZ, GUDAP performance and academic attainment. Co-located with Gold Coast University Hospital and the Griffith Dental Clinic. A proportion of offers go to rural-background applicants (Rural Priority Access Scheme), and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants may be considered via the First Peoples Health Pathway.

Interview format
- Single pathway: 3-year Bachelor of Dental Health Science (BDHS) → 2-year Master of Dentistry. No separate BDS-direct route at Griffith.
- Interview is the **Griffith University Dental Admissions Process (GUDAP)** delivered online via the **SAMMI platform** — not a generic MMI label.
- You read a scenario and record your response; Griffith rates communication, empathy and ethics, reflection, problem-solving, teamwork and decision-making.
- Examiners include Griffith Dental Clinic and Gold Coast Health clinicians and academics.
- Selection combines UCAT ANZ, GUDAP and academic attainment into a weighted score; around 300 candidates are interviewed.
- Co-located with Gold Coast University Hospital and the Griffith Dental Clinic on the Southport campus.

Sample interview questions
Why Griffith's BDHS → Master of Dentistry pathway specifically, rather than a 5-year BDS at another school?
Defensible reasoning. Articulate why the 3+2 integrated structure suits you (early oral-health-science grounding, the Gold Coast clinical footprint, the GCUH co-location). Do not treat BDHS as a back-door BDS — examiners want pathway-aligned commitment.
Why dentistry rather than medicine? Be specific.
